What does Open Enrollment for Affordable Care Act mean?

THE Affordable Care Act(ACA) open enroll period for 2015 means an applicant MUST sign up during the period of (11-15-14 till it's last day of 2-15-2015) to obtain an ACA policy effective in 2015.  If this deadline is missed applicant must wait till next 11-1-15 open enrollment period begins, unless a the very limited and strict ACA exception called Special Enrollment or Qualifying Life event(such as loss of job, birth of child, divorce and lose benefits).  A rate increase on one years health insurance is NOT considered Special Enrollment or qualifying Event.  For more information please contact Flanigan Insurance @  314-727-6000.
