What if home becomes Vacant

When a owner-occupied or rental house becomes VACANT(means empty of people and contents) insurance companies can DENY a claim.  In fact some may deny if vacant of people and contents for 1 day, others may give 30 or 60 days.  The main issue is Vandalism or Malicious Mischief, including fire caused by arson.  Vandals have turned on water facets and flooded homes causing extensive damage or setting fire.

If your home, rental home, condominium is vacant be sure and obtain a VACANT home policy which will provide coverage for above mentioned losses.  If need additional information please contact Flanigan Insurance at 314-727-6000.
