Recently I saw one of my companies non-renew an auto policy because of 3 towing losses within 6 months. What happens is the auto insurance companies typically charge less $20 every 6 months for roadside assistance and they expect no more than 2 towing's in a 12 month period. If a person has reason to believe they need many towing's in a year, they would be much better served to obtain a true auto club membership which may cost $100-$150 a year.
Roadside Assistance is a fantastic almost give-a-way; however, there are limitations.
