So you just purchased a new car with extended warranty you should should be good right? Well, yes and no, typically a new car will pay for towing therefore your probably good on that at least until warranty runs out then you are on your own for towing which run close to $100 each while adding towing to auto insurance policy may be $25 a year.
On a car warranty the car rental also known as loss of use applies if a car is in shop for covered warranty work, NOT a car accident. So if you car is damaged in a car accident, a tree falls on it, vandalism etc a car warranty is NOT going to pay for the car rental. If you own extra cars then perhaps do not need car rental; however, if you must have a car daily and are willing to pay the $45 a day to rent a car then you don't need rental.
I think these two coverages are valuable for the average car owner, if have further questions please contact Flanigan Insurance @ 314-727-6000.
